Vodafone Re-Launches New, Improved Version of Vodafone Access Gateway

Vodafone has launched the Sure Signal Box which will, according to company sources, ensure that users get perfect network coverage for both mobile broadband and mobile phones. The device is a signal booster which steps up the customer’s connectivity using the home broadband connection.
The Sure Signal box uses femtocell technology and connects to Vodafone’s network using the existing broadband connection. The device brings in reliable 3G internet coverage inside a small area.
The signal booster had already been introduced to customers last year under the name Vodafone Access Gateway. However, it was pricey at £160and users did not find the results justifying this high price tag. These were the main reasons behind the product’s less than satisfactory sales.
Now Vodafone is launching the product once again with a new name and revamped capabilities. Company sources assure that the performance will be really amazing this time around. In order to make the product more attractive, Vodafone has now brought down the price to £50 and has also claimed that it can guarantee perfect signal without any chances of failure.

However, critics are not sure of the reception or demand for the device in areas where coverage is already quite consistent. Even the £50 price tag may prove a deterrent here. They believe that the only customers may be restricted to the few who have serious problems with frequently failing coverage. It remains to be seen how the Sure Signal box actually fares in the markets.
